Tudor 1926?

Hey Crunchers! Anybody out there own a Tudor 1926? I’d be interesting in hearing how you like it. I’m dying to get into the brand and am wondering if this is a relatively affordable way to do it. Seems like a beautiful watch on the Tudor website but the pics are only renderings; I’d love to see some actual pics!

Type it in here. I believe it should return some pics and related opinions

I've seen it the store. It looks just as good in the metal 👍

·

Soso I guess, had the gold index version

If you love Tudor because of watches like the Black Bay or Pelagos, then I’d recommend waiting and saving a bit longer, or looking at pre-owned models.

Buying the cheapest watch from a brand just because it had the name on the dial is likely to leave you unsatisfied and/or losing a chunk of cash when you inevitably trade up.

·

ETA movement so do not overpay, but a really nice watch

·

I don’t own one but have been hands on. Bracelet and clasp aren’t up to Tudors other offerings but this is reflected in the price. They aren’t bad but I think there are better at this price range.

Spot on. If your only reason for getting this is the brand name on the dial, I'd much rather save for a model you'd actually enjoy seeing on your wrist.

It's a great watch. I had to choose between this and a mido tv, went with the mido. But i can't shake the feeling of not having this.

I also believe 36mm is the clear choice with this watch

I saw this in the flesh, it’s solid. The 36mm fit my wife’s 5.5” wrist well. The black dial (especially the one with the gold indices) is not very legibile (see photo) but otherwise great looking watch. I believe the new variants now use a Tudor movement and not an ETA though.

That said, I agree with what everyone above said. If you like the BB look but don’t want to spend BB58 money, I believe the bezel-less BBs are slightly cheaper (few hundreds iirc).

I am a Tudor fan and have one on order 41mm. I think it will make a terrific add to my collection..I really like the white dial with the blue hands..

·

Haven't seen that #tudor befoe, but it has a sharp look

·

I like the dial layout and the white dial. I’m considering one of these.

I love the 1926. It's on my list. The 39mm...

Apologies for being a little late to this post. Which watches would you consider to be better at this price range out of interest?

Longines, Christopher Ward, Hamilton, Raymond Weil, Frederick Constant. Some are cheaper and better too.
