The best, compact and most affordable single watch storage containers I've used so far are "watch pods". Bought one for me and one for my gf, and they're brilliant. The photo below is one I just found from a simple search on Amazon.

My CW Dune has an on-the-fly micro adjustable bracelet (which is so useful I don't want another watch without this feature), so depending on how hot the room I am in is I can tighten or loosen it. I tend to wear it slightly loose-slightly tight depending on how I'm feeling.
