The main box collection.

Hello everyone! I've been posting here for a while but today I wanted to show everyone my main watch collection. I started this hobby officially a year ago. I went a little crazy and should have slowed down; But despite that i actually havent wanted to sell any of them or have any regrets. (Other than maybe the bulova) These are the watches that I wear when I'm not at work, doing home construction, or mountain biking.

Awesome collection. Like the Seiko Prasage and the Geckota sector dial. The red dial is smokin' hot coupled with the red strap.

·

Super impressive collection for only having been in the hobby for a year! Terrific variety of dial colors and brands. Chronos seem to not be your jam, which is all good but was curious. Again, love the collection 🤙❤️

·

Great collection! Nicely done.

·

I don't own enough Seiko's. 👌

·

Very nice collection! Variety in dial colors.

·

Nice collection, love the mix. How is the Geckota?

·

Great collection, lots of variety and covers all the bases. I've been seriously collecting since 2019 but my collection never exceeded 6-8 watches since I flipped quite a few but good on you for knowing what you want

·

So.. what's in the other box?

·

Wow. Some great choices

You show me yours and I'll show you mine.

·

Great collection and you did what most of us would do in a year and that's buy what we like then look at them months later and say to ourselves...ok why did I buy so many again?

·

Nice variety of colors, brands, and types. 😍

·

Ohhhh, you have the Islander Northport I have been thinking of getting :)

And yay the dresskx!

·

Love the bronze Seiko. Looking for something similar. Was also looking at the Farer Durham for a “brown” option.

·

Some fine watches in there but the Yema was the one that caught my eye.

·

You have grrrreat tastes!

·

IMO you screwed up with that collection, that is way too many entry level watches aka shitters, you could have bought a Rolex or two.

You'll never wear all that stuff and most of it isn't worth much second hand. My advice is get a Rolex and sell 95% of that stuff, a small collection of high end watches is more usable and smarter way to spend money than buying dozens of affordable stuff....

in the words of the great Archibald Chesterfield III, "it has to HURT!!"

LOL. Yea I don't see them as shitters. Maybe to you, and that's fine. And I actually wear all of them. Sometimes il switch between 3 in a day. As far as the rolex comment yea rolex is great but as of right now the rolex pieces I'd like to wear is out of my price range. People talk about vintage rolex but I honestly don't have an interest in those. Plus if I was to get one a rolex my only option would be grey market, and price there is just ridiculous. I would rather get a Bregeut or a Carl F right other than a rolex because of the grey Markey price.

Thanks for the comment!

If this is the head of steam you've picked up in one year, I shudder to think how big your collection will be once you're a hardened freak like many of us.

But seriously, you've got some really solid pieces here. The design of that Geckota, for instance, is a pretty sophisticated choice. Enjoy the hobby!

Yea I realized this is too much. My plan is to get 1 or two very nice pieces next year. Maybe a high end longine or a tudor. Ball even. But seiko and microbrands are killing it!

·
FlatteryCamp

Very solid choices imo. A variety of colors, price points, functions and watchmakers.

One of the things I would perhaps do differently when I started collecting is spend more time between purchases just wearing and enjoying the watch though everyone is different.

BTW I just happened to see a video that Jory of 'Just One More Watch' dropped today where he takes the same Seiko Presage that he bought preowned and successfully experiments with removing some deep scratches from the Hardlex. The closeups of the dial were gorgeous.

Yes for sure. I definitely should have done that. Some I did buy because they were at 75% discount and plan to flip them in the future. And I did see that videom

·

Thank you. And yea I do wonder that sometimes lol. I want to really make my collection different in terms of styles and dials.

I’m impressed with both your watches and your reserve in replying with dignity to that frankly awful post 👏

Geckota is nice watch. The whole case has a polished finish which goes really well with the brushed red dial.

They don't answer any emails or comments however.
