How do you spend your Saturday?

Spending this lovely Saturday in the backyard, with coffee, hoping to catch a glimpse of a solar eclipse. Unfortunately it’s overcast so you win this round 🤣

Definitely a great pursuit, on any day. I frequent watch stores. The best way to know a watch is to try it on, over and over and over. Probably why I've never sold a watch and have no intentions to do so.

I'll add that I've never spent 3 hours in any store though 😂

In my defence I saw 6 pieces and the conversation was amazing😅 Hadn’t spend that long before either

I got caught out in the rain after my visit, let’s say that neither of us really won😅😂

I Just spent the last hour and a half in the store getting a couple pairs of boots for this up and coming white crap. That's harder than buying a watch. It's hard to find a good pair of leather boots or shoes around here. It's all vegan leather. Vegan leather a glamorous word for plastic. I don't do vegan leather anything. I don't do vegan watch straps, shoes, boots or food.

That's my dream brand. I have so much respect for their work. And yeah, I've done the same drooling over the watches on a visit. Here are some pics:

I’ve had such nice experiences at higher end boutiques (maybe just lucky?) even if I was just browsing. Meanwhile I’ve had shopping mall watches of Switzerland staff look at me like a took a crap on the floor the minute I walked in.

I spent 1/2 hour of my Saturday at an Antiques Market looking at Fossils and Invictas. Oh - and a Disney Watch. 😕

So yes, but since I'm in Canuckistan and not U$A... I earn money in pesos, pay tax rate that would make your hair fall out, and have a low base salary. So, I make about 1/2 what my US colleagues make 😢

My actual watch buying advantage: a wife who never gives me grief over anything I purchase, as long as it won't likely kill me.

Thanks for the LX compliment! You are perhaps the only one ever, besides me, who has expressed affection for it. It's such a sleeper, to all the world it's a 100 buck Seiko. Under a loop it's stunning and has the quality of any high end Grand Seiko.

I've had the same wonderful experience with the Lange boutique in NY. They're incredibly welcoming, will spend "hours" chatting with you and all throughout the experience, will never make you rushed to leave.

I've spent time at the NY boutiques of JLC, FPJ, Omega, Cartier, Breitling, Breguet, and Piaget. Piaget and Breguet are the best of the bunch but a distant 2nd in experience to Lange.
