Thoughts on this Watch?

Engineer III Marvelight Chronometer Looking for a watch with   magnetic and shock protection. Let me know if you think this watch is a good fit and if you have seen it in person how does it look?

Not a fan of the second hand counterweight, but otherwise it's fine. You shouldn't have to pay MSRP for a Ball, so lowball.

Looks good in the black or green dial, agree with @OskarKlosoff on the second hand counterweight.  It looks like the back of a fancy music stand.

I feel like if one of the main things you're looking for is protection against magnetism and you have that kind of budget you could find something with more than 1000 gauss.

I have a Ball Trainmaster 120th Anniversary, with a Rose gold case. I’m happy with it. The tritium lume is not as bright as luminova, but it’s there in the middle of the night. I had to return mine once to Ball to get it regulated well, but it runs well now. I have had the experience of other watches getting magnetized, no problems with the Ball.

The ‘lyre’ counterweight is unusual, but on the wrist my watch is attractive. I was gifted a Ball Trainmaster titanium. Still a good watch, but the fit and finish is not as good as the other. Definitely try before you buy.

I recently picked up a 40mm Engineer II Ohio. Has 904L steel, anti-magnetic and shock protection. It is very well done, feels like a much more expensive piece than the price would suggest. My only niggle is the AR coating isn't great. Otherwise, I've really been enjoying this one.

I'm a little late, but I have the original Engineer III Marvelight Chronometer (the one with yellow tritium tubes marking the second/minute indices), and it's a great watch.
