Hold or Let Go?

I’m a sucker for white dial and I really would like to have a green watch in my collection.

SMP300 Green is the perfect shade of green IMO, been thinking about the acquire it but doesn’t make sense for me to have 2 SMP300 in the collection.

And Moon Watch white came along today, been thinking about letting go this and have the white moon watch and green SMP300.

Not sure if it is wise? You view needed…

I agree with your take 😉 also love the seaweed smp!

·

On this Super Tuesday the people support your proposal!... and you can always come back if you miss it

·

White SMP is more unique imo

·

I do not have any problem having 2 Omegas with white Dial, i dont like the Green SMP300 any way

·

When I’m thinking about getting rid of a watch I pack it up and stick it under the bed for three months if I don’t miss it I’ll let it go otherwise back in rotation it goes. Maybe give that a go make sure you’re not going to regret getting rid of your SMP.

·

Yeah the white SMP never did it for me, blue is the only one for me but the green is way more striking than the white. Let it go, grab the green SMP and I would place an order for the white Speedy ASAP, you know that one is going to be hard to get for the next year.

·

The green is the only SMP I would trade in the white for. I have no problem with what you want to do.

·

Why have 2 when you can have 3... hehe

I will let the white speedy rest for awhile, probably will get the green one first since it has better discount…

Yes. Also the wave pattern looks completely different on the big white. Just an amazing design that quickly became iconic. These will be collectible in 5-10 years for sure.

I like the Seaweed Green SMP too but just as an alternative the same colour is used on the Certina DS Action 43 mm (both are Swatch Group so they share their colour palette)

I love the white dial of the Seamaster, I think it's the best of the lot. I say that as a man that hated the Seamaster until they brought out the green dial. I ran out of patience in trying to get one, & opted for the black instead. Once bought, wished he'd bought white. Oh & along the way the watch became my favourite of all my watches.

Now if you take advice from a man like me, then you have to accept you're nuts 😜

Nice one !

I’m thinking of both as well as “the diver” in my collection. If I were you, I’d stick with the white. Upgrade to a better watch in the future, but just the same watch in a new color.

That crossed my mind too.

Hold. Stick it on a white strap and give it a new lease of life

Saw that combination before, it looks sick!

I contemplating the 2020 Tokyo Olympic edition as a summer watch, I think it would look great on a white rubber strap

Image
·

I'm not the right person to ask as I currently own four 300ms, but I will say the white on rubber is a million miles away from the green, especially if it's on the bracelet. I would 100% keep the white. I'm still thinking of getting one even though I have the green.

White looks clean

·

I think you are caught up in the hype around the white speedy, and to be honest I like this one better! Besides the speedmaster black should be the one for a collector and not the white. About the green SMP i agree with you but maybe look out for other green watches instead plenty of good options !

I feel you mate, sometimes things that we don’t have are the best…😅

White speedy crossed my mind for a long time, for years everytime I log on to Omega’s web, i saw the white gold white dial speedy. I was talking to myself, how great if they comes in stainless steel.

And today, it’s here.

Like you said, maybe is the hype, i will let it sit until W&W and see who else come out with something better, especially in green dial.

I heard Oris is preparing a refined new aquis for this W&W maybe witg the calibre 400 and a new look they bring out a nice green one. And of course if Oris is not what you are looking for but want a rather more prestigious brand I really hope tudor would bring out a green pelagos 😅

On point, nvr thought of that. Tudor nvr really have green dial except there is one light green dial BB with yellow that cost a fortune😇

I’d hold on to the white SMP. I also love the green SMP and the new white Speedmaster.
