When exercising, you're sporting your favourite wristwatch

I did yoga today while sporting my lucky little Tudor BB 32 (I'm crazy) but I'm very glad things went well because it was my first time. Do you wear a watch when working out or exercising, with the exception G-shock watches? What kind of watch would you choose to wear? And if you don't wear the proper watch, will it impair the watch's mechanism? I'm interested in your opinions.

I rock a smartwatch at the gym. That's where they belong

·

Yep, wear one while sporting. Scurfa Treasure Seeker or Squale 1545 for all water related related activities, Pagani for the rest.

·

This got me confused - why would you not wear a watch at home?

·

In our home gym we have a wall clock, no need to wear a watch.

When I go outside for a run I wear a 20 € digital plastic watch from amazon.

·

Casio Duro or Seiko Sport 5 would be my exercise choices. But if working out inside or a gym it may be something more upscale.

·

I prefer to use my Apple Watch or one of my G Shock for exercise

·

Yeah, a Timex Ironman or Casio Twin Sensor when hiking.

·

I cant wear a watch when I train so I dont

·

Gotta be a gshock…too many dangerous metal objects in my gym…just ask the fitbits RIP

·

When WHAT????

·

I believe that if you don't wear a proper watch when there's a lot of vibrations or impact, it can damage the mechanism. At the gym I only use my Apple Watch for monitoring or my G-Shock.

·

G-Shock always.

·

I have a Garmin forerunner 55 for all my training. Idk how people run/left wearing mechanicals. That would freak me out!

·

Apple Watch or the fitness tracker of your choice.

·

I typically don’t but I’m currently on vacation and wearing my GMT II BLNR for all activities and it hold up really well.

Out today for a bike ride and swimming.

I have used my BB36 for the most part the last year 😅

·

I’ll wear any of my watches for most activities…except lifting weights…all the heavy steel can wreak some havoc on nice watches

·

I solved this problem by no longer exercising. 😄

·

As long as it doesn’t get in your way for the excercise, I think a watch can be really helpful. I’ll wear my sports watches running and swimming.

I could imagine it might get in the way a bit for some yoga moves though - no!?
