Watches that don’t get wrist time

As we add to our collections we often put what used to be our favorite watches towards the back of the box or even worse…a shoe box. This doesn’t mean we don’t like them. Usually it just means we have a new favorite toy. However sometimes it’s nice to pull out old toys. What watches do you forget to give some wrist time to?

Most of my quartz collection.

I have a 15 year old Fossil that hasn't seen the light of day in probably 5-6 years. I should find it.

I'm way to tight with my money to have watches lying around collecting dust. They get worn in rotation or they get sold.

·

I have a fair few Gshocks. They mostly just sit there now other than the one I use at work.

·

My two Seiko quartzes from the late ‘70s.

I do enjoy rediscovering a watch I own.

Seiko Recraft. My parents got it for me as a gift early on when I started collecting. I think the biggest reason it doesn’t get wrist time is because of the dial color. I like green dials, but it’s not as versatile in relation to what I typically wear day to day. Won’t probably part with it though.

That watch but in black and orange, it never got the use.

My Alba SignA (it was a wedding gift from a relative) and sadly, my beloved Seiko SNKP ever since I got 5KX as my daily driver

If a watch doesn't get wrist time I sell it even I don't get much for it. First I think I'm better off if I get clutter and stuff I don't use out of my house and out of my way. It makes you more efficient. Two, often people will send me a message about how much they love the watch they bought from me and how they wear it all the time. As a watch lover I get something out of that too.

I picked up the Steeldive SD1953 in the most recent AliExpress 11.11 sale:

I think I've worn it once since acquiring it. Mostly because there are other watches in my collection that I prefer. But it only cost around $45, so it's not a major issue for me.
