Pull the trigger, or not…? (Updated)

Hey guys, I’m in the tough spot… I got that Panerai Radiomir, the latest iteration made only for 300 models and I’m not sure if I need to keep it or not… just for that speedy a month ago and really love it.

Really thorn apart about what to do…

Update: so finally pulled the trigger and keeping it! Will put a lighter strap (their straps are amazing tbh) and I think I will be more than happy with it!

It’s look amazing but as I remember this one is large and thick

·

Beautyful #panerai , keep them both 😁

·

It’s a Panerai, so if you bought it at retail, you probably lost money by now. If that’s not true then you have option. If you lost money on it already, I would wear it for a few years and then sell or trade. Make the use of the money lost via use.

Which one would you recommend from Panerai?

Well, that these stuff depreciates is a bit of a given (most watches will do, apart of a few models obviously). I can still send it back but it is a special model that I could see grow on me. But also they have so much nice stuff. The leather bracelet with a 100m water proof watch is also something that is weird...!

Oh. It’s still within the period of return? I would return it then. If you don’t love it when you first get it (honeymoon phase), then you likely won’t love it 5 years from now

I think it's a cool watch, I would keep it. But that's just me

·

Keep the Panerai! It’s beautiful 😍

·

Keep em both they look like they’re are good friends

·

I think it’s a beautiful pickup. They compliment each other. If you love it, keep it.

·

My all time favourite piece, that's my grail.

Panerai is one of my favorite brands, I have a 774 which I absolutely love. Honestly it's a brand that I thought I could never get but I was able to get one a few years back and I know if I get rid of it I'll probably never get another one. That radiomir is absolutely stunning! If I were to get another Panerai (which I don't see happening) it would be that watch or my grail a submersible.

·

Beautiful piece 👌🏻 I love a good Panerai 💪🏻

Suggest to keep it if you can

·

Looks like a PAM1385. This checks so many boxes for me especially the lovely dial colour; would love it even more if sandwich dial was used.

·

Only you can answer that question. Do you love and enjoy the panerai to want to keep it?

I had a panerai 321 GMT and loved it I wore it everyday and used it as a beater. However, my journey in watch collecting changed and it felt right to let it go in a trade. So the question to you is what part of the journey are you at? And also whether you will miss it if it is gone and whether you can justify having both watches. I personally keep the panerai unless you want to trade it in for something else.

Thanks for that insight. You really seem to be loving them. Slowly I can see myself also be a Paneristi

You are right. I tried the PAM1350 and that was amazing.

Did you try to get it?

Tbh I was looking for a longer time at the Speedy Chocolate Dial. But then this came out at relatively the same price. So I was happy getting to know a new brand. Other than that, it would have been the aqua terra.

From a Panerai lover, please keep it. I know from experience you'll have sellers remorse if you let it go. Looks great on that strap.

You are probably right!

If you're pining for another, that's not likely to get better. Only choices to me would be keep both, or off the zpanerai and move on. I recognize the economic pain, but watches are best as self-gratification, IMHO.

It is and you're 100% right. But slowly getting into it.

I might give the panerai a try. We will see how it groes on me.

Right choice, blows the speedy out the water. The straps get better the more they are worn and age nicely.
