Q: How did you get into watch collecting?

Always liked watches, but after I had been working at my employers for 25 years I wanted to buy a watch to celebrate. With limited funds I chose a Tissot Seastar Chronograph. So after that the Apple watch went and my journey into watch collecting stared. Cliché, but my goal is to buy a Rolex from an AD, not grey, but that will come eventually. Baby steps!

Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?

First watch with any meaning, all be it no great style or value was for my 30th Birthday when I bought a Green Hugo Boss Chronograph. Still have it in the watch box.

Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?

I have my 30th, my 25 years and most recent a watch that was bought to celebrate the life of my Father-In-Law that recently passed away. The one that has the most important story is my Grandfather's 1918 pocket watch that I had repaired/serviced this year and is running very well!

Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?

Don't scatter gun your collection. Double and triple think any purchase you make as you will generally lose money on purchases, so don't get into it with the thought that you can make money!

Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?

Always liked Christopher Ward and have had a few recently. Brands that are interesting are Erebus (Jody from Just One More Watch), I really want a Tudor Harrods! Draken has caught my eye as well. Glycine is another I seem to like and Venezianico have a couple that I like too!

Q: What is your grail watch and why?

At the moment it's the Rolex No Date Black Submariner. I just think it's totally iconic and would love to have one in my collection.
