Frogman? Mudmaster? Rangeman? Help!

I have an urge to add a chunky, feature-packed G-Shock to my collection. Something that's way too overpowered for my day-to-day use (since I don't really fight terrorists or conquer woodlands).

I've read about the Frogman and Mudmaster series and a little bit about Rangeman(s). Truth be told, however, I'm quite lost. I want the ruggedness and features, but I don't want my arms to look like twigs.

Can anyone recommend me anything or point me to the right direction?

Thanks!

Not nearly enough info.

What's your wrist size?

Do you ever dive, hike, climb, bike, do yardwork, run, fish?

If none of the above get an F91-W.

The AK of the watch world. Cheap, reliable, and always in style! 🤘🏻🤙🏻

They are all giant pieces of wrist kit, but they don’t wear as big as you would think when you read the 55mm diameter and 18mm thickness. They do wear well despite their size.

The Frogman is allegedly the biggest wearing (never had one on). It offers true deep sea exploration ability, whereas the others are only suitable for extreme water sports that you will never attempt.

The mudmaster and and rangeman both have ABC sensors, but the Mudmaster is resistant to mud as well.

If you want something smaller, but still want it to be seen from space, the ProTrek offers the ABC sensors, but with only 100 meters of water resistance. Sure it’s not Navy Seal level, but it’s more than enough for a Marine, and probably more than enough for you.

If you don’t want the ABC sensors, there are plenty of regular ole giant G-Shocks you could score that are tough as nails, offer world time function, and a stop watch. Wherever you end up, I highly recommend Tough Solar. That will keep you from having to change out the battery once every 5 years.

Plain old Giant G-Shock with tough Solar, world time, stop watch, countdown timer, and multi-band 6. I believe the go for around $125.

I believe the dimensions are 46 mm case, 16 mm height, and 55 mm lug to lug on my 7” wrist. With a traditional mechanical, I max out at 43/14/50, but G-Shocks are just different.

My advice, buy a GA-B2100... Lots of features and giant, but not "I like to pretend I'm a SF Operator" big.

If you want to go all in, get some 5.11 pants, a 5.11 shirt (10.22), and a Mudmaster...

I do a lot of swimming, hiking, yardwork & all the basic "dude" stuffs.

hit the gym bro, get swole, tattoos are a plus! Nobody notices how big my watch is because I have 35 inch biceps and can man-handle crocodiles hahaha
