Can you suggest a good ladies watch

For my personal safety, my "lady" needs to see the watch before it gets purchased. I want to give her a few options to pick from. She said, "whatever you pick out for me is good!" I know that buying a watch for her by "picking it out" is more dangerous to me than stepping on a landmine. I am thinking either a Tag or Omega Constellation. Any ideas

Hard to go wrong with a Tank or OP 31.

·

Do you have a certain budget in mind, preferred case size, style, color, etc?

·

I’m thinking quartz is the way to go for a non watch person. Cartier has great options like Tank Solo or Pantere or Santos.

Another brand to strongly consider, especially if you’re looking for automatic, is Longines.

Get the Cartier Tank Must with the Solarbeat movement.

·

Id reccomend Credor. Very interesting, rare watches and special for those who know. This ones my favourite:

They can be had for around 2-500 bucks, search Credor ladies watch to look it up becaise I dont know any reference.😁

Personally Cartier for my lady but Omega is a great watch too and arguably more under the radar.

Does she wear mostly gold or silver? Do her friends wear watches, and if so, what do they wear? When is she going to be wearing the watch: everday or just at events? What is her style: colors, modern, chic? I’ve learned from personal experience that you should view this purchase as 50% watch and 50% jewlery. The things that matter to you as a watch guy and unlikely to have the same appeal to her

·

Another vote for Cartier here. You’ll have a happy partner and can buy accompanying Cartier jewelry as future gifts down the road as well.

·

Get her a small Rado Capt Cook.

Here are a few of the “lady like” watches I’ve given my wife that she tends to wear on more dressy occasions. They are of different price ranges. Not sure what your budget is.

Sorry I am late getting back to the thread some personal concerns

Been showing watches to her and so far these are prospects

Patek Calatrava, Aqua Terra, and Tudor CLAIR DE ROSE.

she is not happy with quartz she has which is a Tissot because the batteries have to be changed.

I am trying to get her into a nice watch - but the real key is "what she likes"

I tried Cartier first.. no dice.

she does not like my mens Nomos.

she nixed the idea of a dive watch with a bezel.

a surprisingly good idea... She could get a 12 and then when she learns more about what she likes then we can get her into the next strata of watches.

she saw that I had two rolex watches and wanted to snarf one.. that is not happening.

the IWC is a great idea... I am going to have her look at the Omega Constellation and she picked out a ladies aquaterra that said "buy me" in the window of a store and she was gun shy. I wanted her to buy a Tag but she nixed the idea of a diver.

My wife wears my AQ more than I do and she manages to pull it off even with her skinny wrist. Could be the rubber straps. Photo below is of my wrist though.

I do like the constellation, although I don’t have a modern one.

Oh it’s happening 😂. I have resized my explorer 14270 and datejust 41 bracelets to my wife’s wrist size, which means I don’t get to wear them anymore. Next to fall is my sub 14060M. In fairness, my EDC is either a Seiko or Casio.

Check this one out. I’m biased towards Cartier because I identify as old money. 😂

She has good taste! I think of those three the AT is best in regards to everyday wear. It can be dressed up and down. It also may be easier to see in person to try on!

really nice.. I will show her that model.

I looked at a Santos - and she would like simply because it is a Cartier. For her it would be the "rolex effect" where the brand means that she likes it.

I want to get her a keeper that she is happy with for years.. It's a tough order.
