THe JLC control date sector can be had second hand for a similar price as the omega - and is far nicer watch. 3mm thinner, better finished movement. The omega has ag925 engraved above the hands post and i can never unsee it - the reason i never bought it.
i prefer the brand who built their own movement, watchmaker used to work for IWC, and didn't use cheap parts to make a calatrava knockoff.
their 90s and early 2000s watches are some of the most collectable in the market - regularly compete with dubuis and roth.
have had my platinum dial one for almost 2 years now! IMO SB is a true independent, and not a microbrand.
