Wives and watches (a fun poll)
Yesterday I made a huge mistake! We were preparing stuff with my wife for our upcoming vacation and I thought it would be a good idea to ask her opinion about which watches to take with me. I said to myself what the heck, since she asks me about which dresses to bring along I can do the same with my watches 🙈. I went in the next room and opened my 6 12-watches-storage boxes. Put them side by side on the bed and proudly presented her my STOC of 72 watches 👀. I shouted “honey can you help me select my watches for our holidays?”. She replied “sure coming…”. When she entered the bedroom and show the line of boxes and watches she froze for a couple of seconds and then she turned and said “are you crazy? I thought you had 10-15 watches” and she continued “God you are a weird guy! You have no limits” 🙉. It was quite an awkward situation but in the end I managed to explain and persuaded her to see them with me and helped me select some to take with me. I would like to see what your experiences are with your wives, husbands and partners. Do they know everything? Do they support you in this? My wife thinks I only own a couple of watch boxes full of watches which all look the same, plus the ones she's bought me. Sadly, this is not the whole truth.
Hahaha my wife also thinks that my watches look all the same! Yeah they all make tik tik tik….Since yesterday she knows the whole truth and I promised I will restrain myself (not sure I can do that but that’s between us).
My wife buys me cheaper watches and even supported my man maths for buying a Pelagos 39 😬

Probably, the biggest fear is that after I die , she will sell my watches (and guitars) for the price I told her I paid or them.

My wife supports it! I love getting her opinion new designs and watches I’m considering. She’ll occasionally wear my tortue and Im currently on the hunt for her new piece! A very specific vintage Cartier tank, she’s got great taste.

Went with option C - I don’t bother mentioning 100% of watch purchases but I’ve a lovely wife who gives me complete license. As long as I pay for everything for us, if I have a bit extra for watches she’s fine with it 🥰

Very true, but I’ve never seemed as shocked as she looked yesterday when I look at her makeup or shoes collection. Or maybe I was never interested to seeing that kind of collections…🤔

I buy things that I like and she buys things that she likes.

My missus knows all my watch collection and purchases and she supports me in this passion. She says she'd rather tolerate this hobby than have my attention turned towards other women! 😂
Don’t let her see all of your watches at the same time. Just imagine when you suddenly found a 72 handbag collection of your wife and you thought she “only” had 10-15 handbags. What you going to say to your wife? lol
