I was lucky enough to assist to the meeting of two relatively old Omegas and could take a picture of this moment. I thought you watch crunchers would appreciate it.

Still the best Omega dive reference, imo. Excellent

Fully agree!! 🙏🏻
Love that particular Speedie mk40 and re-live a recent disappointment every time I see one.
I 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 missed out on an insanely inexpensive one a few months ago - it sold whilst I was waiting for the seller to answer my questions. 🙁

Hmm sorry to hear that! It happened to me once too with a Panerai. Looking back at it, I do not regret it... But one regret is with this one: too small for me. I had to return it right after receiving it. I wish I could have liked it more. 🙏🏻🫤

39. Looks very small for a chronometer on my wrist..
Every Speedmaster Automatic I see is better than the last, such an incredible line of watches!
Nice. I remember that Speedy and still have the catalogue somewhere... Bought different one from the same era back in the day...

This so beautiful! I think that yours was a special edition for Japan...

Thank you! I read that too about the Japan edition thing just in recent years, but truth be told, at the time I just bought it from a local AD in Canada not knowing much about it, except that it was a Speedy and looked surprisingly good on my wrist lol
Nice watches. They look in great shape.
Love both, but be careful what you call “old”. Some of remember when those were “new”……hahaha. Both still great watches for sure
