Diver vs GMT Complication/Bezel

Curious how many in the forum take advantage of the diver complication vs the GMT complication?  I suspect there are not that many divers in the crowd, but do you use the timing bezel for cooking, driving duration, etc?  I have several divers and it is rare that I have the use case to take advantage of the diver bezel.  On the other hand I have used the GMT complication on a number of occasions - traveling internationally and in various US time zones.  I have done some snorkeling as it's the closest I've come to SCUBA diving. Do you use the diver timing bezel?  What's the use case?  How about the GMT complication?

I use a chronograph for timing eggs ect. And I can work out the time difference myself to set the GMT in the first place. So I don't really have any need for either. But both look cool and isn't that why we don't just use an app on our phones?

In all honesty I think most people buy the watch for the looks, not for its added features, ie divers bezel, gmt hand, Chrono function, moonphase or whatever it may be. The brutal truth is that unless you are a professional with very specific requirements your smart phone will do most tasks that any watch can do in a more intuitive, user friendly and precise way - that even goes as far as reading the time. While I don’t have any dive watches, I do have a gmt and a Chrono but the truth is I have not set my gmt hand to any specific time zone yet and I have only used my chronograph to time things for the fun of it. I do love the idea of the functions in a watch though and I really like the dressy look of a moonphase, so I may have to get one of those at some point and then never set it correctly. 😂

I use diving bezels frequently to time various things. I’ve used GMTs while traveling on vacation, etc. But if I need a GMT function for a real purpose, like an international business meeting, I’ll use a proper cellphone app just to be sure I didn’t mess something up.

I'm team GMT. If I need to time something, there is a chronograph for that. I have a chronograph with a pilot bezel (bidirectional) that I used once for timing. I don't remember if I ever used the diving bezel for anything AT ALL. For timing purposes I think pressing a button is much simpler than fiddling with the bezel. That's my take on it.

I use my drivers bezel for cooking and timing other things like my drive into work to be honest I don’t really use my gmt watch for anything other then a 24 hour Indicate I’ve not left my country in years just spent my two days holiday working for myself haha

Used the Diver bezel numerous times and have been frustrated when I don’t have one on.

Don’t have a GMT bezel outside of my actual GMT watches, and have yet to use them (have 4) 🤣

Technically, you can have it all on a Chronomaster. 😎

Mine are just for the looks. Never used any of my watch complications besides fidgeting with it lol

Funnily enough, I use my second timezone bezel as a timing bezel more often than for a second timezone. I time things fairly often, and with negligible mental math, any rotating bezel can time things if it has an index point and mostly stays put. I most often have a dive bezel on, but I also use that to time things longer than an hour sometimes by lining the index point up with the hour hand instead of the minute hand. I could use it to indicate a timezone difference or as a compass bezel as well. All of the bezels are really just a marker you can place around the dial, and the simpler bezel functions are easy enough to convert between in your head.

Been into watches for decades, not interested in diving in the slightest but have always loved diver's. Never used the bezel to time anything - I like it because it offers more protection to the crystal & obviously the looks.
