A poor guy collection!
Hi everyone! I’m pretty much new here and I want to tell you something about me!
It’s a long post I know…
I started loving watches 5 years ago and I found myself addicted from the beginning!
I always had Casio, Swatches and cheap quartz pieces but when I found out about the beauty of mechanical watches I jumped on the train of collecting with my skx (my first purchase). After awhile I found the tissot of my dad’s dad and the omega of my mom’s dad and I got hooked up on vintage piece. This 3 are my most valuable watches, not for their price but for the emotional value, the skx is my first “real” watch and the omega and the tissot are a memory of my grandfathers, even if I never knew my mom’s dad.
My collection is made mostly of vintage pieces found here and there, but I also love fun watches and modern ones.
I love also making straps by myself all hand made with Italian leather (the skx one and the tissot one are two of my creations).

Thank you! I called it poor man collection because of my limited budget. I don’t have nothing fancy but I love all my pieces!
Emotional value is far more precious than monetary value. 👏
The energy isn’t in the watch, it’s in the emotion behind it. That’s what carries the weight.

That's a nice varied collection. Mine is similar, in that there's no £££ items, but that's one of the great things about the hobby - it doesn't have to cost a fortune. I've picked up a few lovely vintage pieces for under £50.

Hi! The white one is a universal geneve white shadow, not automatic, apparently from the 60’s that I bought for few bucks because the logo universal on the dial was erased, maybe caused by a bad cleaning attempt!
When I started with the watches I got some of those omega that you have it. Love them and I still have one in my collection
