Probably an Omega Speedmaster. If it's good enough for NASA it's good enough for me. Plus a doomsday watch shouldn't need batteries because those would be in shirt supply. Haven't owned one yet but I will some day.
I mean the only right answer is a G. But if I’m still around after doomsday I’ll go to the rubble of a jewelry store and look for the best blinged out day date I can find.

Depends on the scenario. Nuclear holocaust? Zombie land? Asteroid impact? Mother in law visit for long weekend?

I would take my Gshock GWM5610. Solar quartz, tough as nails. Obviously I'd lose the multiband 6 functionality but I think standard quartz accuracy is sufficient for 99% of everything.
My choice would be a rugged automatic diver on a nato. Beyond that…. Army green seems cliche/expected for the prepper/survivalist so I’ll go with that for now. Ready for the zombie apocalypse. A tuna can Seiko almost feels overkill.

As it's coming in the next couple of decades ( ongoing pole flip, loss of our protective magnetosphere, Galactic Current Sheet,solar micronova) anything magnetic/ferrous or electronic will be fried, so I've gone for a range of medium value automatic watches to trade, & a robust, accurate & amagnetic Omega sm300.
