Which watch do you wear to the gym?

For those of you who do weight training  regularly at the gym, would you wear a watch and if yes, which one would you wear during your gym sessions? I suppose it would be a beater but let me know which one would you wear? I am asking because I am feeling uninspired staring at my fitness tracker when lifting barbells and dumbbells! Hahaha I know I sound silly but I think the non-judgey #Watchfam here can relate and provide suggestions to make weight training more inspiring. 🤣

Apple Watch! I know… treason… but it allows me all the gizmos and I can listen to music without my phone

thanks for the suggestions so far @ravishan and @bevelwerks, but I will never get an Apple Watch...at least for now 🤣

yeah i have a xiaomi band too...it's cheap, good and reliable fitness tracker. but now I feel like wearing some real metal slammin' those weights, but i would also worry those weights slamming back on my wristwatch HAHAHA

CASIO G-SHOCK DW-5600-1ER

i prefer outdoor activity.  this does a great job skiing and hiking.

Garmin Fenix. No need for a mechanical watch while working out.

Honor band 6, need to measure hearbeat

One of these

Honestly? Casioak all day.

I wear mostly my Sinn 856 UTC. Thanks to the hardend metal I don’t mind if it hits metal surfaces :)

I am not monitoring myself, no defined KPIs and no steering committees between me and a technical device. So no need for a fitness tracker XD

G. The countdown timer is a prerequisite for a gym watch and it's tough enough for the pool afterwards.

Seiko solar diver has been my recent choice

So I recently picked up the Garmin Instinct II.  This version comes in 40mm so it is far more unintrusive than the 45 mm.  So far I have loved the interface and data it provides.

I could never adapt to the Apple Watch, both from a wearability perspective and also battery life.  The Garmin has solar charging functionality but even the standard battery for normal use is about 20 days on a charge.  Great option and the price is not crazy at $450 for the solar powered version.

I'd like to get an inexpensive chronograph (oxymoron?) for the gym to more easily keep track between sets.  Something like a seagull would be good.  I'm not much of a dive watch guy, but I'd be happy to get one for the gym, maybe an inexpensive Seiko.  As it is I like field watches at the gym.  They're easy to read and keep track of time.

Either a Casio MDV-106 or a G-Shock DW-9052.

Casioak or the G-Shock 8800 series. Depending on how likely I am to drop weights on myself 😂

A CDT is much more useful than a stopwatch for timing reps/sets. Hence a G.

I use wrist wraps or straps when I weight train so no watch.
