Actually if you look real close below the 12 o'clock you will see a faded cherry blossom, the cherry blossom signifies the Air Force, the anchor is the navy and the star is the army. Basically the same watch. I do agree this isn't the kamikaze issued watch homage, but it's definitely air force. Zoom in on the 3 pictured for reference.
Its just what some do, they buy impulsively get the watch, then buy some more, then have buyers regret, or sometimes decide to sell a few to get that one! Just human nature to do so either way. I say to each their own. My collection is mine, yours is yours.
