End game watches or grails are a tricky subject because as soon as you get it the hunt resumes. However I submit this as one that I would probably not spend more than. It’s a 1972 1803 with door step markers and, awesome sauce, a Japan stamp bracelet which one does not see much of these days. I saw this from a local watch dealer and I fell in love. I think Day-Dates are basically your dad watch after the two tone Datejusts and I love how the white gold is just unassuming and under the radar.
I’ve had Baltics before and the watches are good but finishing is not to compare with Omegas. I’d say manage expectations but hope to be surprised. This MR01 seem to have better finishing than their HMS or maybe they have been improving as a brand as well.
