Wore it today, a 1972 white gold day date. I promised that I will get it for my 40th birthday but it came early about a year and a half ago when a local dealer posted it for sale. I love everything about it : white gold which is I think very stealthy, dial and lume have aged very well, door stop markers at 6 and 9… and the special sauce hidden in the bracelet.
Did it stop me from buying? Absolutely not but I was not as aggressive knowing I had spent a ton getting this. I love wearing it and I cannot help but stare at it.
There’s another watch story I heard from this guy from Turkey back when watch Clubhouse was hot. I’ll try to recall the story, but man, not a dry eye in that room!
+1 on the MR01 too! So here are my submissions, Baltic, Lorier and Smiths… however… do they have to be micros? Non micros I can think of Junghans, vintage Seikos… good luck hunting.
