I usually wear the one I take. I have a watch case which is attached to the inside of the carry bag which I pop it in during the security check, otherwise just wear it. For hotels I put it in the room safe when not needed
Never worried about theft/mugging etc wherever I’ve been. Just be as sensible as you would at home when out and about and you should be good. I travel quite a bit and whilst I’m not saying you are never at risk, I do believe some of the stories are overdone, Take the normal precautions and you’ll be good and enjoy yourself

The pre 2011 version would fit better, the fact that you thinking of selling is a sign that you will never be happy with it and it will just nag at you. It’s unlikely that you will fall ‘back in love’ with it
