Baltic MR01 - alternative with small second hand for my next purchase

Looking for a new watch to add to my collection like Baltic MR01. But read so many negatives about the watch and the biggest concern is the Chinese movement not hacking having many issues.

I really loveeeeee the watch. But I can’t get over the fact to pay 700 euros with the beads bracelet and to not be able to service it after 2 years is mad crazy… to end up throwing it in the garbage.

what do you all think? Is this a concern should i still buy it or look for something similiar?

I like MIDO Baroncelli ultra slim, MIDO big date not the same models or watch type.

something in between 600-1200 euro max

Included the current state of my collection feel free to give add some suggestions!

Thanks🙌🏻

You may need to try and get one of these…….

Absolutely gorgeous watches, and there are other models that will last longer for less outlay 👏🏻😉

From what I've read, Baltic's service response is excellent so if you're unlucky and get a poor movement then you should be fine. I take the negativity around Chinese movements with a tablespoon of salt. I have a cheap Hangzhou in a Rotary that's running like new after 15/20 years, and so far have zero problems with any others.

From the Mido I'd go for the big date to give you a different look as you have a few dressy watches. The Mido TV big date might be another option.

Thank you for the advice! Yes, MIDO big date i really like.

The only concern about the Baltic MR01 is what after the 2 years if there is no warranty on the watch and it stops working that would hurt.

Really loveee the Baltic.

eventually I planned on getting both the MIDO and the Baltic.

Nice collection.

For small seconds, Nomos Club Campus (manual wind) especially used/second hand, could do the fit in the budget.

Vario 1918?
