I have the same watch, same colour. I think it’s hard to ignore the price when you’re making an assessment. We are so used to chasing after luxury items that I honestly think it’s almost impossible to be objective when you come across a great item at such a low price. No big brand name, no high price means it must be Ho Hum. It’s a great watch. It’s not an Omega at 20 times the price, or a Rolex at 30 times the price. In terms of value, it’s a really good reason to question why those watches are so expensive. I’m delighted with mine, but I know I’m still chasing the Omega, and I’m not particularly proud of that. :)
It seems to be fundamentally about the combination of colour and watch design. No one that sees a gold Casio digital will think it’s someone flexing. It just looks like a gold coloured watch. Same with the PRX in my view. So no harm in a gold coloured version I guess. Not my taste, but I wouldn’t look down on someone that wore one. It’s all good :)
