GS just doesn’t do it for me. Omega AT is a solid alternative in my mind. Seriously considering that.

We have a purchase history with this AD. Nothing outrageous, but in the several K range in total. That’s the only thing that stops me shopping around.
I could do that, and I might end up going that way. It does feel like I’d be facilitating the problem though if I pay more than retail. I hate that thought.
I have the same watch, same colour. I think it’s hard to ignore the price when you’re making an assessment. We are so used to chasing after luxury items that I honestly think it’s almost impossible to be objective when you come across a great item at such a low price. No big brand name, no high price means it must be Ho Hum. It’s a great watch. It’s not an Omega at 20 times the price, or a Rolex at 30 times the price. In terms of value, it’s a really good reason to question why those watches are so expensive. I’m delighted with mine, but I know I’m still chasing the Omega, and I’m not particularly proud of that. :)
