Mistakes of 2023

At the end of 2022, I thought no more watches, I have enough and should get a new hobby.. one year later.. bought one watch every 2 months.. glad took those many vacations or would have added more..

L-R:

  • Omega Seamaster Seaweed

  • Seiko Alpinist GMT LE (1/3k) white

  • Nodus Sector LE (1/50)

  • Hamilton Khaki Pilot (Interstellar)

  • Seiko tank (raffle win)

Almost bought Montblanc 1858 Geosphere at airport in India

No more watches in 2024… 🤞

Same but I definitely tell my finance that 🤣

No set watch but you should consider a dive watch.

How’s the alpinist gmt? Two of the watches I’ve super drawn to are the baby alpinist and Christopher ward gmt and wonder if this is a way to combine the two.

I was in love with the green Alpinist and even bought it but unfortunately it had quality issues. Then Seiko came out with this beauty.. I tried other colors but the white it an absolute beauty. The date can be set individually. Don’t have to move gmt hand for it. Can’t comment on CW.. haven’t tried that yet.

It is always a good idea to step back and assess what you are doing. I've been very careful about what to add over the last 5-10 years. I like to think of it as curating rather than simply collecting.

I am going to take your advise.. “curating” is the word for 2024..

I'm at least pausing to reflect rather than committing to one course or another. While more watches makes little sense more offline meetups with other enthusiasts is something I'd like to see. I've gone through many hobbies that now feel like rewarding chapters but the story continues!

Great collection sir!
