Seiko field watch

I've me focused on wanting a watch with a compass bezel. No special reason, just because I don't have on in my collection. Two that have caught my eye is seiko Land tortoise and SPB121 Alpinist. What do you think is worth the money. BTW: it maybe a while before I save enough money to buy one (mortgage and stuff).

Personally I wouldn't buy either, I'd save my pennies for something a bit nicer that still has the compass bezel. CW makes a diver/field watch called the C60 Lympstone. It has both an external timing bezel, and an internal compass bezel.

It's $500 CAD more expensive than the Seiko options, but it is a chronometer. If you're saving up for the watch, saving a bit longer gets you a far more capable watch.

Some Inexpensive options:

SKZ211J1 286.00

Seiko 5 Compass Automatic Black Dial Men's Watch SKZ211J1 - 546x546

SNZE81J2 179.00

Seiko Series 5 Automatic Black Dial Men's Watch SNZE81J2 - 546x546

I would only buy the Alpinist or the Land Tortoise if you really like the design. The options at these prices are plentiful, and from a value perspective the Seiko list prices are not that easy to justify. This has something to do with with the Alpinist being somewhat of an iconic watch, and Seiko is capitalizing on it.

I would add the blue Seiko land shark to your options:

And then there's the SNZF08J1...

That's a resounding "Nope!" From me, but your tastes might be a bit different.

Or the SKZ207K1

Which I actually quite like.

E, hey there. Could you please let me know what model this one is? Trying to find out more about it. Thank you!

This is the mighty “citizen ecozilla”

If you google that, all will appear in front of you, they did a titanium auto version which is called the “auto Zilla”

I believe they have recently re released them at a lot higher price, you can probably get one of the original models at a reasonable price of about £200, they are not for the faint hearted as you will read in the reviews. I would look on YouTube and you will see what a beast it is.

If you want to put it on a strap you can buy adapters which fit perfectly.
