NWA New build and new tool

I completed my second build today.    I think this is my first ever dress watch.   I was inspired by the dial.    NH35 based though I did take off the date ring and gear since there seemed no point in having that extra drag going on under the dial.

One thing of note was I used this opportunity to use for the first time, my new super fancy hand press/release.  It went beautifully.     Using it with some good optics in a well lit area made placing even the second hand stress free.   It’s overkill for an NH35 build I think.   I actually bought it for chronograph hands on a Valjoux 7750 and 7751 build project that are in the works.

What do you think of the blue lightning second hand?     Trying to decide if I like it or if I should just go with the expected standard merc-type second hand.

Gives me more Explorer/tool watch vs dress watch vibes. Reminds me of my Borealis Adraga with a snowflake dial. Building it must have been fun! The blue lightning hand is unique.

Congrats on what looks like a fantastic build. Looks a little bit on the sporty side to be a dress watch for me but still great nonetheless.

Looks awesome, great job! 👏 Is that the AjuiceT dial? The lume looks good!

Thanks, yeah, not sure about the blue lightning hand yet. Your Borealis looks nice. I like the second hand on there…which gives me an idea that I might consider… the second hand that came with the merc set looks like your Borealis. I might see what it looks like after I dip the tip in red paint

Thank you. Yeah, I think you’re right. In my minds eye when I picked out the parts, I was thinking dressier, but in hindsight, it does look a bit more sporty for a dress watch.

Thanks. I don’t know it by that name. I bought it from Alexander Jones Watches LLC out of Chicago. It didn’t have a name. The dial was the inspiration for me. I never appreciated dials so much until I started looking for them as a part. I’m happy with the lume, and fortunately it was a match to the hands in color and brightness.

Yeah, that's him. I think that's his business name, AjuiceT. He's a stand-up dude to deal with. I thought about doing something with this dial before, also. Too many mods/builds I want to do, all in my head, never enough funds. 😂 Again, it looks great!

Very milgauss,well done

·

Explorer , Ranger vibes to me. Looks quality and I love the dial.

Just decided to try a build myself recently. Thinking modern Explorer type black dial, but with a "12" just like yours, plus a custom logo. Been scouring the internet, finding only Explorer or Panari copies. But I may have found it at AJuiceT ... thanks! Like your case/bracelet - where did you get it?

Good luck with it! Yeah I have no complaints with dial. I found the dial listed on eBay, and the case came from Aliexpress. All of my sourcing of parts have come from these two places. Please post your results!

Superocean dial, Submariner hands, Milgauss seconds in a Datejust case.
