G-Shock Owners: How do you travel with your watches?

G-Shock Owners: How do you travel with your watches? I'll be traveling next month and plan on taking 3 G-Shocks with me. Before getting sucked into the world of G-Shocks last year, I used this type of watch roll because the straps of my regular watches could lay flat. It's a different story with G-Shocks, however, because of the way their straps are designed to keep their round shape.

Short of taking a watch roll such as those from Rothwell below, is there another type I can use for 3 G-Shocks that are more compact and lightweight for the trip? We'll be flying around on several budget airlines and weight/space is a premium. Thanks!!

It’s a g shock throw it in the bag and forget about it! But if you must try these

·

I’d just chuck them into their own ziplock baggie

·

Don't treat it with kid gloves. It's a g shock, needs to be treated rough 😂

·

I'd throw them around a cushion from a watch box and just throw them in a suitcase.

·

Put them around a roll of socks.

·

I appreciate the comments about roughing them up, but I just know from my previous experience with my beater Citizen that looking at scuffed mineral crystal will continue to drive me bananas, lol. Sorry, but my brain is just wired that way! 😆

·

I use these. Very robust and secure.

I travel with one watch only to keep it simple. GSHOCK is so damned tough I'd toss them in your suitcase or backpack and not worry

·

My DW290 gets thrown in whatever space there is in whatever bag has space.

·

Watchpods, single or three pack.

But TBH, a sock and then somewhere in a pocket in carry on is cheaper and how I do it.

Ahhh, on my wrist...

I did bring a spare on deployment once. Just tossed it in my duffel. It was loaded on a cargo plane and transited a couple continents where I'm pretty sure it was nearly frozen mid-flight in the non-climate controlled undercarriage, then sat in a sea can for a solid day and a half in the desert where it was hotter than an E-Z Bake oven...

No factor.

Welcome to the G-Shock family, my friend! 😁

Thank you! It's been a slippery slide, I'll tell you that! Started with 1 World Timer late last year which grew to 4 upon discovering SKXMod. Then my wife got me a GBX-100NS1 for Christmas and I purchased 2 GBD-200s within a day of each other this month after falling in love with the clarity of MIP and functionality of Bluetooth, lol! I'm at a point in my journey where every other watch is just a rehash of another and those that I DO find interesting are more challenging to acquire. So glad to have vintage and Casio for immediate gratification! 😊

I completely empathize!

I've always had a GShock for work, but only got into wearing them as a casual watch a few years ago. Always kept the number low - but recently (as in a few days ago) I've discovered old and discontinued models on eBay 😬

Trying hard not to plunge in headfirst now!

They sell these GShock nylon bags on the Casio USA corporate website when u make a purchase of a watch as an added gift for only $2.49.

How do you pack your socks and undies? At least one method of packing has your socks and undies rolled. Your could fasten the watches around your rolled clothing and pack them among your other clothing for padding. As others have said G-Shocks don't really need special packing but this was might keep them neatly organized and give you piece of mind.

I throw them in the suitcase and done. My polished Square resides on my wrist, but the resin ones...no need to be overly cautious
