Categorizing watches in four genres

I was wondering what kind of watch I should be buying next, and came up with the idea in the picture. I categorized my favorite watches in 4 genre, which is design, function, affordable, and luxury. I found out that my Tissot Seastar1000 is well balanced watch for me. I seem to like the watch with rotating bezel. It is difficult and fun to find the cool watch with the design that never get tired of.

You’re def missing an elengant piece on a leather strap, but it could so easily not be your thing?!..

I like the look of leather strap, but here in Japan, it is relatively humid and I prefer steel or nato strap. The Timex Easy Reader in the picture had black leather strap before, but I have replaced it with nato strap so I can wear through out the year.

You forgot one category "Addiction" and all my watches will lay there. 😭

Great method! Should give it a go some time

Couldn’t wait! 😂 one in the upper right corner is being serviced. Looking from this perspective, it seems I’ve pretty much have all my bases covered…what’s missing? maybe one that sits right in the middle?!… would you have placed them differently?

Nice collection! I would place Hamilton Murph right in the middle. Maybe I might put Panerai inside the Design and Luxury section, since it looks cool and dressy.

What about a "bought with my gut" or "bought with my heart not my head". Those are the watches I enjoy the most that's for sure. Screw the logic.

Actually, all the watches I bought is by instinct or impulse buy. Categorization is just for fun.
