I bought the 38 mm version and have no regrets. I live in Europe and have noticed that a discount can often be negociated, some authorized dealers even offer 20% off all Hamilton models.
Had one, kept it for only a few weeks. The lack of AR coating and printed fauxtina numerals made it pretty useless for my old eyes in anything other than perfect conditions.
Gutted coz it's a beautiful watch and one of my favourite films 😥
Love my 38mm, it's super versatile and pairs well with many straps/bracelets so works in most situations. Hamilton watches are frequently on sale so even buying new you're sure to find a discount soon enough if you feel the price is high. For my money, you get a great product at a very reasonable price even at retail.
I had the 42 and enjoyed it but it was too long for me to wear comfortably so I sold it. When the 38 came out, of course I picked it up and don’t regret it. Worth it.

The Murph is really nice timepiece. With a screw down crown, it would be my choice.
I have the 38mm . I love the watch . The 80 hour power reserve is just awesome. I bought mine during the black Friday sales.

This is my favorite watch. I wrote about my connection with it in a group editorial for Worn & Wound here: https://wornandwound.com/our-2023-watches-of-the-year/
Glad you’re considering adding it to the collection. :)

@seanjonas Amazon has it for 720 USD reduced price right now. Basically the same as what this gentleman is saying. Sounds like a great deal
