How to strap a chrono.

Newest pick up, not quite a grail watch, but something I’ve had my eye on for a while. Despite usually buying watches on bracelets, I decided to pick it up on its OEM strap due to price and concerns the bracelet was too gaudy/heavy with the extra gold. Problem

Is: it’s not my favorite leather strap (2nd Pic)

Strapping a sports watch is a fun enterprise, but the added difficulty of the gold accents “dresses” this one up more than a typical sport chrono. As such, I’ve had some difficulty deciding on my favorite “straptions.”. I was hoping for some opinions and even inspiration from the very knowledgeable WatchCrumch community.

What are your thoughts? Thanks!

The NATO strap on the 4th pic with the 2 stripes is sure a winner!!

Beautiful watch. Congrats & they all look great!

Warm colors are definitely going to be your friend.

A dark red version of that last one would look great if you want some more color. Similar to this:

Love the strap with the gold lines down the middle!

·

I went for dark brown leather and off white stitching with a gold buckle to tie in with the rest of it

Chronographs look best on a rally strap. Try to find one in an alligator or lizard pattern with a gold buckle to dress it up. I think Clockwork Synergy has some...

·

All of the above 👌but nato two stripes just works 🔥

·

Great choice, tudor bb and pelagos are the best looking watches with nato straps

·

Beautiful! Definitely a strap monster! 🍻🤙🔥

·

I kinda like a vintage lookin' brown leather on a chronograph 👍

You can also try an endlink with rubber or leather strap option. I found this on the net while looking for different options to my my bracelet. Cheers!

The ridges on the leather is a very nice touch.

Awesome I will take a look. Do you have straps from them already?

·

Beautiful watch my guy, so far you have this pairing down perfectly.

·

Oh lovely! That integrates well. Thanks for link.

I'd go NATO all day with this one baby. Two or three different ones to match and play with and never look back!

·

The 5th picture with the single stripe NATO! LOVE that look. This watch is my personal grail too btw… so jealous!

Short of commissioning a custom strap, I purchased an alligator embossed strap from Clockwork Synergy. Quick release pins and your choice of buckle colors for under 20 USD made it a no brainer. Plus their customer service was awesome!

The more I look at these Black Bay chronographs, the less these make sense (at least to me) in Tudors long time product line/strategy.

Especially if the rumours of the Big Block Prince and Heritage Chrono re-releases are true...

The good news is I feel these quirky references are going to be future collectables. You've got a winner here, I reckon.

Beautiful watch and great decision to get these off the bracelet. I've bought so many with the bracelet on only because i was advised that it affects the resale value but end up almost never wearing them on the bracelet.

Straps ftw. All the leather and nato ones are a win.

My guilty wish is to get a tudor root beer and put in on a grey nato :)

·

Definitely a NATO strap!!

I’ve been liking a lot of what Tudor has produced lately. I cant wait to see what else they have lined up in the next few years
