Steinhart is a really good value for the price. I think, if I have to talk only about the value for money, you will have a lot of more with the steinhart instead of Seiko.
The real problem with stein, is they only do hommage watches.
When I started my collection, I didn't care about that. But now, I don't want hommage watches anymore because after few times, I think I'm not really proud of my hommage. So I sold them. I had Steinhart Ocean One 39 Pepsi, Davosa Ternos and San Martin Explorer Tiffany.
So you have to think about what you really want. A good watch with excellent finishing, but a "copy" or a real brand.
I going to do the same thing. I tried a bracelet Uncle Seiko for the Alpinist and it doesn't fit at all.
When I had the Hamilton Khaki field auto, bracelets for Alpinist was perfect. Here, it doesnt work. So I ordered a bracelet with straight end link on strapcode.
