Will the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date be available in 38mm?

Hello everyone, I am deciding on my first ‘high end’ watch, and I immediately fell in love with the bronze pointer date at my local AD. I love everything about the minute track, the hands, and especially the full bronze case and bracelet. The only issue is that I feel it’s slightly too big at 40mm for my 6.25” wrist. Oris does make a Cervo Volante edition in steel measuring 38mm, and that fits me perfectly.

My question to you all is wether or not you think Oris will release a bronze version of the Cervo Volante? I’m curious for your input, thank you for reading.

Hey man, you may end up regretting getting the big size in the long run. Haha take it from me - any “big” watches that I purchased from the past, I ended up removing from the collection. That’s a beautiful watch though

Hi there! I have the Oris Bronze Pointer Date in green but my wrist is actually smaller than yours (6 inches). I think it still wears pretty well on me, but I too would prefer a 38mm version

There is a 36mm bronze that will fit more or less like a 37mm due to the lug to lug, but also consider the Big Crown 403 calibre at 38mm, not bronze but definitely worth taking a look at.

That would be the perfect Oris in that size. Considering they made those candy dial Diver 65s in bronze 38mm, so I'd say it's a good possibility. Definitely still considering the blue dial one.

I doubt they will release a bronze version of the Cervo Volante as its already a special edition. I can see them releasing a bronze version of the normal Pointer Date in 38mm with the new 400 caliber movement. Although that would be on the more expensive side. If you want bronze, look at the 36mm pointer date bronze. I have a 36mm Pointer Date and a 6.25" wrist and its a great fit. If you want steal, go for the Cervo Volante, their dials are beautiful

38mm would be perfect for the pointer date. I feel the 36mm is too small and the 40mm is just at the edge of my own liking. We can always hope! 🤞

Update: I reached out to Oris, and as many of you have said, they have no plans of expanding on the Cervo Volante line. I think my best bet will be to get the 36mm and maybe trade it in if the 38mm with bracelet if it ever becomes available. Thank you all for your input.
