Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Before her passing, my mom gave me a large gold chain with a big gold medallion to remember her by. That heavy thing sat in the bank's safety deposit box for years. After much debating, since the necklace was getting no use, I decided to sell it. Got a few grand for it which in turn I used it to buy a nice gold rolex date just which I wear every day. Though I feel guilty for selling the necklace, I feel closer to my mom, because I think of her everytime I put on that gold watch. Definitely getting a lot more use out of it and since owning it, it has almost doubled in price 😀
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Take it slow !!! Do your due diligence before purchasing. Make your purchases memorable. Enjoy the discovery/hunt. Watches that have sentimental value are a lot harder to get rid of. Don't buy watches just for the sake of owning something expensive or popular. Try out different types of watches, ex. Divers, dress, chrono, etc. You might be presently surprised in finding a new like. For me it was cushion cases, 4 o'clock crowns and marine straps.

Oris, Tudor, Omega.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Don't really have one. My tastes are constantly changing. Love the hunt! There's always something newer and better. It's a lifetime journey. Enjoy the ride, discovery.
