My two favorite’s - watches and cars

My addiction to cars has been there ever since. The more I grow up, I fell in love with watches. Nowadays sometimes watches are more enjoyable then cars, since I can carry them everywhere, enjoy them all day, even when I’m in heavy traffic near my home where driving then sucks. However no better therapy then driving a great backroad without traffic! Luckily both of my passions match so well. (Only problem: both can be very expensive the more you dive into, but there’s still to say: it’s not the value of either, car or watch, what makes the enjoyment!)

The bullet bracelet was always perfect! Might be the best reason to revisit a Chronomat.

Cars and watches are such a great combination! As a Mustang owner, I love wearing my Hamilton on a Rally strap. It reminds me of the movie Bullitt and Steve McQueen’s Benrus field watch on a rally strap.

There’s an undeniable connection between watches and Motorsport, and it’s definitely a rabbit hole worth exploring 🚗💨

Nothing wrong with enjoying your watch in traffic especially when you're the passenger and your wife is driving. Life is good.

Same. I think it’s the precision engineering and the mechanical aspect of both. I prefer a mechanical watch movement. Every car I’ve owned has had a manual transmission. I taught all 4 of my kids to drive a stick, which is a rarity today. I’m also a fan of pocket knives. It’s rare that I don’t have a watch on my wrist and a knife clipped to my pocket.

What a combo. Is that a WRX? And that Chronomat is a stunner. I'm very interested in both the Chronomat and the WRX. Those might be my next watch/car purchases, respectively.

Yep, was heavy into the car scene in my 20s & 30s but cannot afford two expensive hobbies now, because kids. So now I just have a lightly modded family hatchback

+1…about 18 cars and the same number of watches so far.

I love it! Working for Audi as a brand. The A7 is also a true design icon 😎

Definitely! Was one of the reasons for this purchase. Went with the GMT, because the chronograph models are way to big for my wrist

That’s important in my opinion to be able to drive a manual car. For me it’s so much more enjoyable. Will do that the same way, when I will be a father. My BRZ and my wife’s A1 are also manual. You have a different connection to your car 😎

No that’s a 2020 BRZ, wanted a „true“ sportscar, rwd, manual, lightweight, but sill capable of driving it on daily bases from time to time. (Air-condition, reliable, since I wanted it not just to become the next garage queen, and I also don’t have enough time to work on the car on every weekend)

Worked for and drove Porsches, had Audi TTs, but the BRZ is a different kind. I am never missing power, the way it delivers it is just pure oldschool fun, you need (and can, without going to jail) rev it all day long 😍

Good to hear that there are still a few companies with manual transmission option. My grail car is a BMW M3. Been driving a tuned 2017 VW GLI. With only an intake mod and the ECS re-program it’s supposed to be at 275-hp. I did have change the clutch about 2 months after I tuned it. That was an unplanned $1500. Lol.

Unfortunately in Germany wo don’t have the GLI… what I can’t understand. I think the car is much nicer as a daily then the Golf GTI. I’ve driven a few, also manuals, and their great fun cars. Enjoy yourself and don’t smoke the clutch when doing heavy pulls 😃👌🏻
