Liking my wife’s watch more then mine

Yesterday I cleaned our watches and i suddenly seen my wife’s Breitling Chronomat 32 in the flesh and fell in love. The warm tones of the dial go so well together with the overall aesthetic of the the watch with its bullet bracelet. Mine has the pure white dial, which I also like very much but if Breitling made a Chronomat in 40mm with a dial in more warm tones, I’d definitely fall for it…

Have you ever liked your Wife’s / Partner‘s kinda more then yours?😁

Chronomat is a lovely watch - great picks from you and the wife to be sure! My wife rocks one of those new 40mm Aquaracers which I’ve side-eyed on more than one occasion. If the bracelet weren’t sized for her miniature wrists I am positive I’d have stolen it by now.

Yup, absolutely.

My watches are mostly black dial toolish and tho high quality, pretty subtle and innocuous. My "best "being my Seamaster 300

My "Better half" has a Cartier Ballon Bleu. Really exquisite, absolutely stunning.

I'm jealous as **** - I'm an aging grebo biker & she's tall and elegant - it suits her to a tee, I couldn't pull off a Santos in my best clobber. 🤣🤣

I bought an 80 yr old VC tank watch for the Mrs, it's gorgeous and I do ask to wear it every now and then.

She also has a 67 Omega dress which was her father's - I was looking to get myself an Omega birthyear watch but this beat me to the punch, even though I'll never wear this one.

On my list of future purchases for her (maybe in a couple of years) is the Chanel J12 which I think is gorgeous in white, but probably too feminine for me to borrow.

My wife doesn’t care about watches, wears watches that I gift to her, however she does have an annoying habit of absconding with my watches that she is keen on. Yesterday she insisted we exchange watches over lunch, my Panerai for her Tudor ceramic which was mine earlier in the day. I actually have no objections unless she also insists that straps be switched so that my watches fit her better.
