Happy 40th Birthday to me
To celebrate my 40th birthday I’ve treated myself to a Tudor BlackBay 54.
Been a massive fan since its launch last year and absolutely love the size.

That’s my favourite watch. I got it as a few months ago as a “dad’s watch”, also engraved my son and doughter’s name on the back.

Great choice and happy birthday! I’m saving up for the Longines Spirit Zulu for my 40th. It’s well out of my normal range for watches, but it’s the one I can’t stop thinking about.

Happy birthday. I’ve literally just left a new Tudor boutique near me and tried the 54 …lovely ..ordered a new piece for my birthday in July too (didn’t take it with me ,too much temptation)

Just curious did you compare the 54 to the 58 and if so did you just like the styling better on the 54 or was the size/thickness better for your wrist? What made you choose one over the other?

So I tried both on a couple of times. If I’m honest, I actually prefer the gold/bronze numbers and the red triangle on the bezel 🤌🏻of the 58 but when I tried it on the second time, I felt it was too thick on my wrist.
Then when I tried on the 54, it was love at first sight. Even my wife liked it 😉

Nice - I’m aiming for an FXD for my 50th at the end of the year…..
You cannot go wrong with a black dial and gilt hand and indices. The bracelet and sizing of the watch are just icing on the cake.
