My very first Seiko, a King Turtle!

I've been extremely lucky and was gifted this King Seiko from someone in the watch collecting community. I've always had my eye on this watch, but was content with my Orient Kamasu. However, an extremely generous person knew I've been wanting this watch and gifted it to me. I'm honestly in shock, I was planning on getting this some day in the future when I'd saved up enough money, and wasn't expecting to get one so soon, and especially not as a gift. I thank him and his generous spirit for suddenly making my dream come true, and I hope I can return the favor some day!

The watch itself is stunning, pictures don't do it justice. The dial is literally like ice, I can't stop staring at it. It has depth to it that online images can't capture, like you're really looking into some frozen water.

Drilled lugholes make swapping bracelets a snap. It came with a well made blue rubber strap that I swapped to for now since I'm not ready for adjusting pins and collars.

Watch is huge, but due to the short lug to lug curves around my 6.5 inch wrist.

Love that dial💙💙💙

I’ve had my eye on the same one!  How’s weight once on the rubber strap?  That steel cushion case is pretty huge

Dial = Fiahh🔥🔥🔥🔥

Which model is that? I have been interested in getting a King Turtle but was always put off by the giant candy bar magnifier.

SRPH59! And yeah, I love how it doesn't have the candy bar magnifier. Can't be misaligned if it doesn't exist!

Super comfortable weight wise on the rubber strap, and being top heavy doesn't matter too much since the rubber strap tightens up nicely around your wrist, so the watch doesn't slide around.

It's honestly not TOO heavy, like it's definitely heavier than the Kamasu, Amphibia, and Pro Diver that I own, but not so heavy that I'm constantly thinking about it. It feels more "solid" heavy, not "chunk of metal making me sink to the bottom of the ocean" heavy haha.

Very interesting- that’s kinda what I was hoping given that low and wide cushion case, but the total volume of metal on that thing was freaking me out a little.  Cool how big can wear small and vice versa sometimes
