Am I the only one that hates “wrist roll” videos?

They’re just so coy.

It’s played out…yes. We should create something new like a watchcrunch roll dunno what it is but we can create one that so cheeesy one would know he reads and post in watchcrunch 😂

Somehow, the watchcrunch roll has got to incorporate this:

Hate them, as they are video where a photo would suffice, but coy? They are drawn out teasing. And never has the payoff been worth the wait.

This is 100% how I feel, just post the damn picture and be done with it.

I hate it when some of these dudes roll the wrist sooooo slowly... Like, get on with it!

I like the watch pictures but not when the hairy part is moving.

Bingo, a little bit of a video tour is permissible, but the slow race is ridiculous and antagonistic.

I'm not a fan either.

And while we're on the subject I'm not crazy about pocket shots and steering wheel shots. I don't care what car you drive.

But the absolute worst are those top down shots where bare, gnarly feet are showing. Wear some damn shoes! Or at the very least socks. No need to expose your skeevy lower pedal extremities in a watch picture.

Steering wheel shots are just a flex. Like, that Rolex on the wrist that some of them keep just out of focus so as to blur the dial a titch......prob Invicta or Pagani and that Lambo is prob a rental

I find a lot of watch photography contrived, and I don’t understand a lot of the composition either. Coffee beans in hessian sacks, because I’ve got loads of those lying around. Precariously placed on a wet rock next to the sea, well hello insurance claim. Watch in a shoe - blew my mind.

Might as well do this:

The same goes for pictures of boxes that have just been delivered. As if we're on the edge of our seats and can't wait...

In most cases the steering wheel shot is deliberate ostentation, but the nature of a car cabin is great for easing the glare and reflection issues of watch photography. I never highlighted the logo on the wheel, which is the objectionable part.

I was going to upload a video of my G Shock while I'm eating Ramen in my 1996 GMC Sierra, but I hear the wishes of the community, nobody wants to see it.

Yes! I don’t need to see any more beat up cardboard boxes, nor mil-spec folding knives
