Ridge Field watch opinions

Hi, new here and just wanted to see if anyone has this watch.

It's sold by Ridge. They sell all kinds of different things so I'm pretty sure that they don't make it themselves. It has great specs and an even better price.

It's based on the Miyota 9039 movement and comes in a titanium case with a screw down crown and AR coated sapphire crystal. All of this for $275. Plus if you're new to them and sign up for their emails you'll get either 20% cashback or 30% towards your next purchase from them. I don't need anything else they offer so I would opt for the cashback, bring the cost down to $220.

What do you guys think?

I’m assuming US market only? These don’t appear for me.

No watch here for me either. Key chains, wallets, but no watches.

I don't know. I just added a picture so you can at least see what I'm talking about.

Not on the UK website - seems US only

Can't remember which pen/wallet/EDC company it is, but one of them uses RZE.

There is a Timex that looks almost the same and is only $160, if you are interested. It is the field post-solar; there are different looks to it. It also has a date which I like.

Clean design and good specs for money. Really depends on what's in your collection already :)

Just a small collection, just got started. But I like the field watch category. Hamilton Officers mechanical and a black and orange Seiko field watch.

I don’t have any experience with the brand, but $220 for titanium and Miyota 9039 is a very good price. Ridge are known for making over-engineered solutions to problems that may or may not exist. Perhaps something as simple as this field watch simply did not sell well for them and they are closing out the model. Don’t buy it just because it’s inexpensive. If you genuinely like it, then go for it.

So if it's just the branding of some store (?) on a generic watch, I don't see the appeal, really. It's literally only one step away from being a fashion watch. Go for a real brand.

Hey, LL Bean used to sell Hamilton Khaki's as their house brand, and the specs on this are way above fashion watches, so I think it looks like a good deal. As I'm in the US, I'd much rather deal with these guys than some no-name on Ali Express.

Well, I pulled the trigger on it. They say their free shipping takes 2-7 days.

Clean simple design. Certainly light as well.

I just got an offer for 20% off - 30% if you opt for abtore credit towards another purchase. That's excellent value for a beater watch

The Ridge's design is very similar to a 37mm Pulsar I bought last month. It seems to be a field watch with a 70s vibe. I love the numerals and hands. But I don't know anything about. The guy I bought it off is a watch seller and he was unsure with his guess being it was a US only model (we're in the UK). We couldn't search the Pulsar serial number. Does anyone know anything about the style or watch itself?

So, shortly after I placed my order I got an email about the rebate/refund offer. I chose the cashback. They will send an email with a virtual Visa card loaded with $55 after my 30 day return window closes. Not as good as cash but it's still a good offer.

Then this morning I got an email telling me that my order has shipped (label created). They are using DHL eCommerce service. I'm not if I've ever had anything delivered by DHL, so it will be interesting to learn how they do domestically. On the good side the watch is coming from Las Vegas NV and I'm in Ontario CA, right down the 15 fwy from them. With any luck I'll have it tomorrow or Friday.
