Tudor BB58 Stiff bezel

Hi, first time I’ve owned one of these beauties so not sure if this is normal but I’m finding it really difficult to turn the bezel. Is this a common complaint or unusual? I know the previous owner only wore it sparingly for the odd party so it’s probably not had much turning done so could just be lack of use? Any feedback would be most welcome thanks

When i first got my BB58, winding was stiff. After a while, like 2 years, it settled in and winding was smooth. You might need time for it to settle in. Bb58 comes with 5 yr warranty so maybe bring it in after a few months if it hasnt settled yet.

You may want to give it a good rinse under warm water to make sure nothing is lodged under the bezel. I've heard of folks having similar issues when sand/salt got in there.

Great thanks I’ll give that a try! 🙏👍

If you’ve been to the beach with it, there’s almost certainly sand in there.  You have to rinse it off immediately after leaving the beach.

Same watch, and I’m in salt water a lot as I have a sailboat on the Gulf. Probably salt. mine has done it. Soak it a bit under warm water, then work the bezel a bit. Even new it takes a firm grip to turn the bezel. It should be a bit resistant, but smooth And consistent. I have the blue one as well that’s never been wet and it’s firm as well

Congrats on this lovely BB58 :) i find that it turns better when i push down on it while turning. For me this is a good sign because you wouldn't want your bezel turning under water.

If even with this "technique" the bezel doesn't turn smoothly, I would rince it and check if there is no dirt blocking something.

Have fun, it's a very cool watch!
