This was my first watch and now it belongs to my son. But I was wondering if there is a way to make the bezel a bit smoother. It's pretty slow and sticky, especially on half of it's rotation ๐ค
I guess it's easy enough to pop of the bezel and back on like with other watches? Is there anything to do with the slow bezel action and how? Is it risky?

Have we tried rinsing in water and a soft brushing yet?

Without taking the bezel off? Yes
Try rinsing in running water while turning the bezel.ย

Have tried it... It didn't really help ๐ข

Sorry to hear that, bud. It worked for my vintage Columbia field watch with a uni-directional bezel. In that case, might be good to take it to a watchmaker. I'm sure the fix he will make won't cost much. Let's us know how it turns out.ย
Pop off - clean in soapy water and alcohol - rub a pencil (graphite!) on the contact spots.ย

Thanks ๐ It should be easy to get off and on again?

Usually, yes. I use a short stubby blunt knife and with a bit of tender force, the bezel pops right off. Can't say for yours though, don't know the construction. I suggest you watch a youtube how-to.
Probably Not the best suggestion but wd-40 - definitely not a lot but it does the trick- just make sure to clean as much excess as possibleย
A small amount of silicone spray will do wonders.

Yes ๐ฅธ If it can't be fixed by gorilla tape, tech7 or wd-40, I don't even want to fix it!!
Just kidding. I'll keep that in mind
Also consider replacing the bezel gasket if it has one. I think it will like silicone grease more than graphite, but you could test both. A thicker gasket will make it tighter to turn but more controlled. If greased (only slightly) it will feel like a higher priced watch. Good luck!
