Magnetized watch

Today I found my small compass so I thought I'd try to see if I don't have a magnetized watch because it seems strange that sometimes it goes faster than I'm used to and sometimes much slower. Supposedly, if the compass is in a stable position and you hoover over it with a mechanical watch, it should not move. But my compass moves every time I pass over it and I don't even have to be very close to the compass. So I ordered this demagnetizer.

Does anyone have any experience with it? Did you manage to demagnetize the watch with that? If so, for the first time or did you have to repeat the procedure? Can it further damage the watch if misused?

It’s simple and takes less than 3 minutes in total.

It’s a simple procedure. Sometimes I’ve had to perform the process twice to fully demagnetize the watch.

I have got one and used it successfully with three of my watches. You hold the button while hovering the watch over the demagnetizer and moving the watch around in all directions and positions, just 5 seconds or so is enough, then test again with the compass

I tried to do physics at school and this is giving me the collywobbles.

I have it

It takes a few times to fully demagnetize my watch

Don’t know if over use damages sorry.
