So I ended up buying and using a portable demagnetizer for one of my watches that was running fast.
So my GS SBGM241 was running way too FAST after a return from international trip (30-35+/day vs the normal 4-6 sec/day) and high suspicion of being magnetized. Thanks to the recs of many in the group I bought a cheapo demagnetizer from Amazon, followed this basic YouTube tutorial

And it seemed to work like a charm. Checked my watch over the last 2 days with on/off wear and it's back to 4-5 sec+/ day 👍🏼
