The Ranger within

I got the Ranger as a possible substitute for the Explorer I'm pretty much not using at all and that maybe I will sell. At first I was skeptical but this watch is growing on me. It looks and is rugged. Doesn't feel really luxurious but something you can actually take on adventures. It has some flaws, but in general I'm very happy. This it the type of watch I needed to experience. Only by the looks and online critics is really hard to realize how much it fits what I needed, not what I wanted.

Wow thanks a lot. Only problem I got is that I was late to the place to take photos and got dark too quickly.

·

Are you still thinking of selling it?

I'll have one one day, lovely tooly timepiece 😍👍👍

Excellent pics

Beautiful watch. Beautiful photography. Very nice 👍

I got one for my son-in-law at Christmas. This is his primary go-to watch on the hybrid leather/rubber. He loves it. Looks great on the tan leather too. What strap is that?

This is a grail watch for me so Id take the ranger before the explorer also there are so many other brands that do explorer look alikes that the ranger stands out plus I haven't seen copies of the ranger or anything done by other brands that even look like it .

Ranger all the way mate it's a keeper and a hand me down too .

I think the darkness is what makes the images. The watch really pops.

I've said it before and I'll continue to say it, the Ranger is one of only 2 Tudor's that excite me.

I don't know, the Ranger and the Sinn 556 are kind of similar. Which came out first?

This is a great tool watch in my opinion. My favourite Tudor is the FXD this is probably my second.

Yes but the sinn hasn't got the numerals and that's the clincher it's the combination of what little it has that make it special but that because I adore your watch as I said it honestly is my grail it's so understated .

Yes, still thinking about it. I need more time comparing but right now chances I will sell the Explorer are increasing.

Yes, I didn't think that I would enjoy it so much. I wish I had gotten it earlier.

I took a couple of Straps. One is from Colareb, I believe the Venezia if I'm not wrong, and the other is from Monstraps, Italian Vintage Leather Honey Brown, one of my favorites

There are some nice direct design copies by San Martin that are really cool but other non direct copies are more rare a guess. I like that the focus of this watch is put towards being easy to read in any situation. For me that is important,

I love the Sinn 556A RS but while being similar in some aspects, after having tried the Sinn 556I (close enough in some aspects to the A version) I think what they have in common is different from what meets the eye. Of course both watches, the Ranger and the 556 have the 3, 6, 9 and 12 but that happens with lots of other watches too. The 556 is a pilot oriented watch while the Ranger is an adventure and exploring watch that can be used as such. Other things that have in common is the sturdiness and easy to read dial. But from there the Sinn feels even stronger, straight to the point and rather thin while the Ranger is more vintage looking, a bit taller and more a land creature. The Ranger is, wait for this, a bit more ornamental while the Sinn is even more "no nonsense" technical instrument tool watch. I think both watches can really coexist in the same collection for different purposes.
