Remember, the Vanuatu came years before Jody's Erebus Origin.
Marlon Brando, like all cool people, wears his watch upside down as did Ronald Regan in The Killers, 1964. If you start looking for this you'll notice many people do. Facing your body, the crystal doesn't bang into things. The tradition started with bomber pilots who could read the time without taking their hands off the yoke. My father wore his upside down and so have I all my life. Try it; you'll like it.
