Quartz vs Mechanical movements
Which movements provides the best value. Quartz or mechanical? After buying a Tissot PRX powermatic80 for twice the price of the quartz TRX i am not sure it it was twice the value? Do you have an opinion on this question?

I don't know if this will be a controversial stance around here or not, but I think quartz is always the best value, as it's objectively "better" at it's job. It's cheaper to buy, cheaper to upkeep, more accurate, and typically more reliable.
Not that this opinion stops me from buying and enjoying mechanical watches!
I only care about mechanical if it has some unique "gimmick", or if it's decorated and nice to look at through a display caseback, other than that I prefer quartz.
Quartz is by far better value - tougher, more accurate, easier to incorporate complications, more advanced technology and cheaper.
I generally prefer automatic, but love all types of watches.
For me, and I appreciate but don't want a PRX, it has to be quartz, but hey pay your money and make your choice, both are really nice, although hearing (some) negatives about servicing a Powermatic.
I have a 9F quartz, it’s great, but there’s not much love there. I’d never buy a quartz variant of an auto watch, like the OP image shows though. That just looks like you couldn’t afford the real one 😉

The Quartz will always be more accurate. The relentless pursuit of accuracy, anti-magnetic qualities, Shock resistance, water resistance and complications is the beauty of a mechanical movement watch. I love both. No doubt my Garmin and GSHOCK watches are perfect for any physical activity. My mechanical watches are Toolry = tools that are really jewelry. IMO the PRX is great in quartz because 1) the retro integrated bracelet kimd of vibes quartz 2) the movement can not be regulated (not that regulating a movement is a necessity) so I'd go for quartz and spend more on a mechanical movement watch I like
