Date, day or nothing on a watch face

What's your view of date on a watch face. Do you like a day and date complication. Is it okay if just a date or better if it's just a clean watch face.

I generally like a clean face, but a day/date on a field watch works for me.

What do you think?

I need a date on the dial (of course, there are a few exceptions). While I can appreciate a clean watch face, I like the look of a nicely done date window (it adds visual interest for me) and I appreciate the additional information.

I have watches in all 3 categories. So, no real preference. For me it depends on the dial design. It should fit into the overall aesthetic.

I'm a 3 hander guy but a date nicely integrated at 6 can do the trick.

More often than not, no day/date but it all depends on the design.

My preference is a clean dial, I do have watches in all categories. The older I get the less I can read the day/ date anyway.

I like a date but can do without the day. I'm typing this on a Thursday and didn't have to look at my watch.
